    Riding Green Gets Realistic

Imagine finally having one of those electric vehicles (EVs). You know, the kind that leak out zero pollution, remove you from gasoline dependence and run purely on batteries that recharge through an electrical socket just like your cell phone. Yeah, one of those. Cool, huh?

Well, a greener future just got closer now that Miami has joined the ranks of major cities across the country, such as San Francisco, Sacramento, Austin, Detroit, LA, NYC and Washington, D.C., in installing the infrastructure needed to turn this fantasy into a reality.

Two weeks ago, an EV charging station went live at the Four Seasons Hotel in Downtown Brickell with two more set for installation on Miami Beach in the next month or so: one in South Beach, at the 13th Street and Collins Avenue parking garage, where the City of Miami Beach is currently installing the power, and another at the infamous Fontainebleau hotel on Collins Avenue near 45th Street.

    Lazy in Paradise

Miami Fails in Recycling! Ranks 20th in Water Study. I’m kind of a hippie. I mean, I’m about 80% vegan, trying to grow my own food and committed to car-free living, the reason I initially moved to NYC and, ultimately, to South Beach. Here, I don’t need the subway—or even heat. But the recycling! Oh, it’s killing me. I’ve lived many places, including South Carolina and Alaska, and this is the first where recycling isn’t even a realistic option for me.

Time to Tell Thieving Tow Companies Where to Go Listen up, City Hall, and listen carefully and attentively: It’s time for you grow a pair already. And face down another pair. By Celeste Fraser Delgado, artburstmiami.com What is dance? That question has been posed by experimental choreographers for decades now. Did you know blind-folds are exciting? Seriously. I’m not talking about bondage, ropes, or S&M (though I’m sure that’s also pretty exciting). I’m simply saying that a basic blind fold made from an old handkerchief can stimulate strong sexual desire and lead to loads of sexual satisfaction. With covered eyes, a person is forced to [...]
