Media: MCB Dancer is a Finalist in Seventeen Mag Pretty Amazing Cover Contest

[ 0 ] June 7, 2012 | SunPost

Seventeen, the fashion and beauty authority for 13 million teen girls, is searching for the ultimate real girl for its Pretty Amazing Cover Contest, presented by Neutrogena.  Chloe Freytag, 18, a ballet dancer from Wayzata, Minnesota, has been selected as one of five finalists who will be flown to New York City and fêted at a luncheon with the editors of Seventeen and actress Emma Roberts.  One winner, to be announced in September, will appear on an October 2012 cover and win a $20,000 scholarship from Neutrogena.

Thousands of talented, determined and creative girls with inspirational stories entered the contest.   Driven by her passion for dance, Chloe moved to Miami at age 16 by herself to train and is now the youngest corps member of the Miami City Ballet.  In addition to ballet, she is passionate about vegan cooking, meditating and making eco-friendly choices in her life.

“Our readers are doing amazing things – helping those in need, dedicating themselves to causes they’re passionate about, setting seemingly impossible goals and achieving them, and most of all, inspiring others to do the same,” said Ann Shoket, editor-in-chief of Seventeen. “Our finalists have diverse stories, but each of them has already made a tremendous impact.  Picking the winner is going to be tough.”

Starting today, readers can log on to seventeen.com/prettyamazing to vote for their favorite finalist. Along with the reader votes, the final decision will be made by Shoket, actress and Neutrogena Brand Ambassador Emma Roberts and Jared Eng of JustJared.com, one of the country’s top entertainment blogs.
