Bet you have never heard of sloe gin before, have you? Sloe gin has been steeped in plums and it really takes the gin and tonic concept to a new level. Sloe gin, lemon juice, ice and Perrier in a highball glass is the number one must-try libation to try in 2012.
Shake well with cracked ice in a chilled cocktail shaker, then strain into a chilled Collins glass and fizz to an inch or so from the top — use a soda siphon, if you’re the type to have one, or splash the club soda or seltzer in rather carelessly, so that it foams. Garnish with a slice of lemon and a cherry, and serve.
