Society: Unicorn Foundation Golf and Games Tournament at La Gorce January 16
Son of famous golf legend Gary Player, Wayne G. Player well-known in golfing circles will host the 3rd Annual Golf & Games Tournament Monday, January 16, 2012 at the La Gorce Country Club to benefit the Unicorn Children’s Foundation. Proceeds will support the opening of Unicorn Village High School for adolescents with neuro-diverse disorders such as Autism, Asperger’s Syndrome, ADDHD, Bypolar, Dyslexia and other learning disorders.
“Every child matters and with your help we can nuture their full potential”.
The Co-Chairs Pat & Barry Berkule, Gwen & Michael Taylor, Yvonne & Charles Eldredge and Emily Damiano, plan to create a unique and special event with golf and croquet tournaments. Julie Valentine and Joanne Gabay are Croquet co-chairs. Honorees for the Event are: Suzie Sayfie and Dr. Diane Walder.
The highlight of the event will be access to luxury shopping and pampering with a champagne afternoon tea, and a cocktail reception followed by an awards dinner at the cost of only $100 per person. (awards dinner only), $150 includes the champagne afternoon tea.
Saks Fifth Avenue, Bal Harbour will hold a Fashion Show and create a fabulous Boutique for your shopping pleasure. Adding to the day’s excitement will be the silent and live auctions. Guests will bid on luxury items, such as “His and Hers” Bvlgari watches. Other wonderful items are signed collectibles from many famous golfers, an Ernie Els item. A trip to The Masters. A trip to Pebble Beach. A week-end at the Kentucky Derby. Many amazing exciting items will be auctioned. Guests will be welcomed by La Gorce Country Club’s Pro Ray Boone.
