Society: Betty Madigan Brandt Crowned 2012 Queen of Hearts
In recognition of her personal commitment to making a difference and giving back to the community through philanthropy, Miami Children’s Hospital Foundation and Miami Children’s Hospital Auxiliary recently honored Betty Madigan Brandt as the 45th Queen of Hearts. Held at the elegant Surf Club before an adoring audience that included previously crowned Queens of Hearts, Queen Betty was crowned by 2011 Junior Orange Bowl Queen Leia Schwartz.
The delicious luncheon was followed by an informal fashion show by St. John of Bal Harbour Shops with members of Miami Children’s Hospital Auxiliary modeling the outfits.
Miami Children’s Hospital Auxiliary was founded 60 years ago to support the hospital’s efforts through volunteerism and charity. The Auxiliary is committed to honoring Miami Children’s Hospital Foundation founder Ambassador David M. Walters’ vow that no child should ever need to leave South Florida to receive world-class health care.
