Top Pick: Madeline & the Gypsies
This weekend (August 6 & 7, 2011), is the last chance to take the kids to see Madeline and the Gypsies at the Playhouse Theatre in the Gables. In an old house in Paris that was covered with vines lived twelve little girls in two straight lines. With this classic storybook line, the audience enters the world of Madeline and the Gypsies. When Madeline and her friend, Pepito, get lost during a visit to the carnival and end up being carried away by gypsies, their rousing adventures with a traveling circus begin! But poor Miss Clavel won’t rest until she has brought them safely home. This delightful musical based on the popular Madeline book series by Ludwig Bemelmans, bursts with daring circus acts, song and sweet silliness. Something all the kids will love. 2pm.
