Corporate America aims to knock down a piece of Lincoln Road’s historic district and just a few volunteers seem to care. By demolishing the historic building at 1001 Lincoln Road, owner Unger Marshal Corporation hopes to bring bigger homes to retail giants, and current tenants, Apple and Gap. At the most recent Historic Preservation Board Meeting, on June 14th, no compromise was reached, the owners asked for continuance, and the project has been shelved at least until the September 13th meeting.
