A Holiday Tradition

[ 0 ] December 16, 2010 | Ines Hegedus-Garcia

We all have a way to get involved in our community, whether it’s by helping children, the elderly or the homeless.  Here’s a photo taken of The Doctor’s Charter School Choir at one of the homes from the annual Holiday Walk in Miami Shores – organized by The Heidi Hewes Chapter of The Woman’s Cancer Association of The University of Miami.  It takes a lot of work and dedication from the organization as well as the gracious home owners, the volunteers and the sponsors.  The event raises funds that go directly to cancer research.  This year’s walk was dedicated in memory of Bob Hewes and Harry Greenberg.  We can all make a difference, please think of how you can give back to your community.
